University of Oslo Norway Researcher - scholarships-hungary.blogspot.com
Studies of zeotype materials are a mainstay of the scientific activity at inGAP. SAPOs are aluminophosphate zeotype materials containing silicon, while zeolites are silicon oxides containing aluminium. The configuration and mobility of silicon in SAPOs, and of aluminium in zeolites have been studied to some extent, but the matter is still under dispute. The successful candidate will perform modelling studies of the relative stability of different silicon distributions and mechanisms for silicondiffusion in SAPO materials and aluminium diffusion in zeolites using methods based on quantum mechanics. Periodic DFT calculations will be the main tool; however, DFT and ab initio cluster calculations may also prove useful.

Requirements:
Applicants must hold a PhD in quantum chemistry or computational solid-state physics, preferably involving periodic band structure calculations.
A strong ability to work independently is appreciated, as well as the ability to view the computational work in a wider context, relating it to experimental results. Experience in installing and tuning software for efficiency on high performance computing resources would be an advantage.
A good working knowledge of the English language is necessary.
Salary:
Researcher (SKO 1109) Pay Grade: 57 – 67 (NOK 455 900 – 538 700 depending on qualifications and seniority)
The application must include:

Application letter
CV (summarizing education, positions, administrative experience and other qualifying activity)
Copies of educational certificates, transcript of records, letters of recommendation
A complete list of publications and up to 5 academic work that the applicant wishes to be considered by the evaluation committee

Names and contact details of 2-3 references (name, relation to candidate, e-mail and telephone number)
Please remember that all documents should be in English or a Scandinavian language.
In accordance with the University of Oslo’s equal opportunities policy, we invite applications from all interested individuals regardless of gender or ethnicity.

UiO has an agreement for all employees, aiming to secure rights to research results a.o.
